Research

Currently, I am particularly interested in the following research topics:

  • Innovative teaching formats in university education
  • Acceptance of sustainable products
  • The role of uncertainty in product acceptance
  • Cooperation between incumbent firms and startups to develop smart products
  • Implications of legal regulations in the context of smart products
  • Digital innovation labs in family and non-family business

In order to address these issues various methods may be applied (and combined, if necessary):

  • Empirical-quantitative (large-scale) studies ( esp. through experiments)
  • Empirical-qualitative (explorative) studies (e.g. interviews or case studies)
  • BiGSEM Workshop in December 2019 in Bielefeld [Co-Organization]
  • International Conference on Challenges in Managing Smart Products and Services (CHIMSPAS) in August 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 in Bielefeld [Organizing Committee]
  • Frühjahrstreffen des Jungen ZiF “Uncertainty” in June 2024 in Bielefeld
  • Journal of Service Management
  • Journal of Service Theory and Practice
  • Junior Management Science
  • Schmalenbach Business Review
